Frequently asked

Where are my daily entries stored?
Checklist items, water, mood and evening ratings, reflections, Release & Replace notes and your photo or video of the day are saved in this device's local app storage. They stay on the device unless you create a cloud backup while signed in.
Does the day change automatically?
Yes. The day number and the highlighted weekday follow your device's local date and roll over at midnight in your own timezone.
Do I need an account?
No. Tracking works fully signed out. An account is only needed for cloud backup, the Tribe accountability features and push reminders.
How do reminders work?
Habits → Daily reminder sets a time. In the browser the reminder fires while the app is open; with notifications enabled and a signed-in account, push reminders can arrive when the app is closed.
Can my friends see my journal?
No. Only the numbers you allow in Tribe privacy settings (day number, completion percentage, streak) are shared. Journals, reflections, photos and individual ratings are never shared.
Why is my media upload rejected?
Photos and videos are stored on the device, so each file must stay under about 4.5 MB. Try a shorter clip or a smaller photo.
Why is repetition so important for creating lasting change?

Repetition is vital to change because you don't rise to your intentions in your hardest moments — you fall back on what you've practiced. When life feels good, it's easier to choose the new thought, the healthier habit, the calmer response, or the stronger version of yourself. But when you're overwhelmed, exhausted, afraid, or emotionally flooded, the brain naturally reaches for what is most familiar.

Every time you repeat an affirmation, choose a new response, practice a healthier habit, or redirect an old thought, you are making that new path more familiar. You are teaching your mind: this is who I am now, and this is where we go. Eventually, the change you once had to fight for can begin to feel like the place you instinctively return to.

Why it works

  • Neuroplasticity: the brain strengthens what you repeat. Repeated thoughts and behaviors reinforce neural pathways, making them easier to access again.
  • Stress defaults to the familiar: under pressure the brain relies more heavily on well-practiced patterns — which is why practicing healthy responses before hard moments matters.
  • Habits reduce effort: as a behavior becomes familiar it needs less conscious attention and grows more automatic.
  • Emotion deepens learning: affirmations and new responses land more deeply when they are genuinely felt rather than repeated mechanically.
  • Self-talk shapes what you notice: phrases like “I can handle this” or “I choose differently now” give the mind a new script to reach for.
  • One hard day doesn't erase progress: older pathways can remain, but newer ones grow stronger with continued repetition.

Every repetition is a vote for the neural pathway you want to become your default.

“Repetition is how change becomes familiar. Familiarity is what your brain reaches for when life gets hard. Practice the person you want to become until, in your darkest hour, that version of you is no longer a choice you have to remember. It is the path your mind already knows.”

Troubleshooting

  • Can't sign in: make sure you're using the same method (Apple, Google or email) you signed up with, then try again from the Tribe tab.
  • Entries not saving: private/incognito browsing and "clear data on exit" settings wipe local storage. Use the normal browser window or the installed app.
  • Data missing on another device: entries are device-local. Sign in and use Habits → Cloud backup, or export a JSON backup and import it on the other device.
  • No reminders: check notification permission for the app in your device settings, then re-enable the reminder in Habits.

Report a bug

Email us with your device and OS version, what you were doing, what you expected and what happened. Screenshots help a lot.

Export or delete your data

Export a full JSON copy of your entries from Habits → Backup & restore. To delete everything, use Habits → Delete account (permanent, removes your account and all cloud data), then clear app storage or delete the app to remove device-only entries. You can also email us to request deletion.
